Is Snip free?
Yes, Snip is free to download. On iPhone and iPad you get 3 free background removals every day; on Mac, 3 free edits a day, and text recognition is free. Erasing objects and enhancing photos on iPhone and iPad require PRO.
Does Snip work offline?
On Mac, yes: background removal, the object eraser, upscaling and text recognition all run on your Mac. On iPhone and iPad, Snip needs an internet connection because photos are processed on our server.
Does one subscription work on iPhone, iPad and Mac?
Yes. Snip is a single App Store app, and a PRO subscription works on iPhone, iPad and Mac with the same Apple Account.
Can Snip copy text from images?
On Mac, yes: press ⇧⌘8, select an area of the screen, and the text goes straight to your clipboard. This feature is free. The iPhone and iPad app doesn’t recognize text.
Does Snip work on iPad?
Yes. Snip runs on iPad with iPadOS 15 or later and has the same tools as on iPhone.
