Clean Up isn’t on your iPhone?

Apple’s Clean Up tool in the Photos app needs Apple Intelligence, which runs only on iPhone 15 Pro and newer models. On older iPhones the tool simply isn’t there.

Snip erases people and objects on any iPhone or iPad with iOS 15.0 or later. Brush over what you want gone, or tap an object Snip has already found, and the background is filled in.

Snip on iPad

The same app runs on iPad with iPadOS 15.0 or later, with the same tools and the same subscription. On iPad, Snip uses the iPhone layout, and Split View isn’t supported yet.

How your photos are processed

Background removal, the eraser and the enhancer run on our server: Snip uploads the photo, processes it and sends the result back. That’s why the iPhone and iPad app needs an internet connection. Finding objects and text for the eraser happens on your device.

Details are in the privacy policy. If you want photos to stay on your device, Snip for Mac processes everything locally.

Free to start

Snip is free to download with 3 background removals a day. PRO is $9.99 a month or $19.99 a year in the US App Store, and it also works on Mac.
