What Snip is
Snip started on the App Store in 2021 as a background remover. Today it is a small photo toolkit: it cuts out people, products and pets, erases unwanted objects and sharpens and upscales photos.
The two versions are built for their devices. Snip for iPhone and iPad adds templates, an editor, a camera and batch mode for online sellers and creators. Snip for Mac runs every tool on the device and can copy text from any part of the screen.
Who makes it
Snip is developed and published by Ilya Razuvaev, an independent developer. Feedback, bug reports and feature ideas are welcome at snipfeedback@gmail.com.
How we build Snip
Say where photos are processed
On iPhone and iPad, Snip processes photos on our server, so it needs an internet connection. On Mac, everything runs on your Mac and works offline. Every page on this site says which is which.
Keep free and PRO clear
Free limits and prices for each platform are written out on the pricing page, so you know what you get before you download the app.
Don’t promise what the app can’t do
Text recognition is only in the Mac version, and no enhancer can fully fix heavy motion blur. We say so up front.
One subscription for all your devices
Snip is one App Store app, so a PRO subscription works on iPhone, iPad and Mac with the same Apple Account.
